One-Line Bio

I am a neurotic single mom with a chronically bad manicure.

Biography

My mom was a nut who gave my dog away when I was 12. This single act cemented the activation of my very own nut gene. It may be too late for me but I am working very hard to break the cycle with my son.

I've been all over America and lived abroad until legal residency became an issue and I (willingly) found a new country to take up residence in. These days I call The Hudson Valley home and spend time in all the places kids hate - our museums, presidential homes and the like. At least my kid may wind up a cultured nut.

I live with 2 war refugees who have 8 legs between them, and they are the sweetest dog and cat I've ever known. Whatever portion of my income not aportioned to Pampers is allocated to the health and well-being of these critters.

I have a pedicure but no pedigree. What I lack in formal education I make up for in adventure. Feel free to come along for the ride.

Interests

I spend a shameful amount of time organizing my shoes and obsessing over what color my son's hair will be. Of course, that is due in part to the fact mine has been so processed I can't recall what color it is supposed to be. I love vintage aircraft, kayaking, skiing, long drives, the fall leaf colors and bargain hunting. I am owned by a wonderful dog and an adorable cat. I think Rob Thomas of Matchbox 20 fame is really cool for the work he does with animals. Don Henley is nifty too for his dedication to Walden Woods. I also really like Tom Petty, Stevie Nicks, Toby Keith and am newly addicted to American Idol. Scary.
